GOOGLE ANALYTICS COOKIES
Google Analytics collects the number of users and their usage behavior on our website and sends this information to a server in the USA, where it is stored. This information can subsequently be used for reports that provide us with insights into the efficiency of our web strategy. With IP anonymization on our website, however, your IP address is shortened before transmission and is therefore not directly traceable to you. You can find more details about the handling of this data in the Google Privacy Policy.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest – The analysis of the visitor statistics of our website serves to optimize our content offering for our visitors. We use Google Analytics to measure which of our website contents are accessed for how long, from which countries and cities the users come, and with which devices and browsers (e.g., iPhone, Android, Firefox, Chrome) they access the website. This is valuable information for us to learn which content is well-received and which devices and browsers our site is preferably used with.
Retention periods: The cookies set by Google Analytics are generally stored permanently.
Recipients: The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have activated IP anonymization for Google Analytics. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Opt-out option: You are free to install the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics to prevent your data from being processed. Alternatively, you can also use the options mentioned under “Block third-party cookies” to block cookies and trackers
